SINGAPORE MATH · U.S. EDITION

BUILD STRONG THINKERS, NOT JUST GOOD CALCULATORS

Our English-language mathematics classes follow the Singapore Math U.S. Edition approach, internationally known for building a strong foundation in mathematical thinking.

Children learn to understand why a solution works—not simply memorize formulas. Through visual models, mental math, logical reasoning and problem-solving, students learn to break complex problems into manageable steps and approach mathematics with confidence.

The program progresses from concrete understanding to visual representation and finally to abstract mathematical thinking, helping students develop skills they can apply far beyond the classroom.

ABOUT THE CLASS

This class is designed for students ready to strengthen their mathematical reasoning while working with increasingly sophisticated problems.

Students practice breaking complex questions into manageable parts, identifying important information and representing mathematical relationships visually. They learn to choose efficient strategies rather than applying a memorized method automatically.

The goal is to develop students who can approach mathematics with curiosity, persistence and the confidence to reason through unfamiliar problems.

WHAT CHILDREN DEVELOP

  • Advanced problem-solving habits
  • Mathematical reasoning
  • Ability to break down multi-step problems
  • Mental math and numerical flexibility
  • Visual modeling skills
  • Strategic thinking
  • Ability to justify a solution
  • Persistence with challenging problems

HOW WE LEARN

Students explore problems through visual representation, discussion, reasoning and comparison of strategies.

They are encouraged to ask why a method works, consider alternative approaches and communicate their mathematical thinking clearly.
